Background
Aidan Ryan is a Financial Advisor with Fortress Financial Group, where he helps pre-retirees and retirees create strategic financial plans tailored to clients’ goals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in financial planning from Minnesota State University Mankato and has earned the Psychology of Financial Planning Specialist (PFPS™) designation, equipping him with a deep understanding of how behavioral finance influences decision-making.
Aidan’s journey into financial advising was fueled by his passion for helping people pursue their personal and financial goals. With a strong background in mathematics, he found that financial planning was the perfect blend of analytical problem-solving and meaningful client relationships. Beginning his career as an intern with Fortress Financial Group, he transitioned seamlessly into his current role upon graduation, where he now guides clients through important financial decisions with clarity and organization.
Approach
What sets Aidan apart is his ability to simplify complex financial concepts and communicate them in a way that resonates with his clients. He believes in empowering individuals with knowledge, helping them avoid emotional financial pitfalls, and helping clients better understand their long-term planning options. He takes a coaching-based approach, telling clients the truth in a positive and constructive way, focused on acting in the clients’ best interest as part of Fortress Financial’s fiduciary approach.
For Aidan, the most rewarding aspect of financial advising is helping clients gain greater clarity and organization around important financial decisions. He thrives on building lasting relationships and serving as a trusted guide through major life transitions.
Beyond the office
Beyond his professional work, Aidan is married to Lauren, a CPA. He is a passionate musician, playing the bagpipes, guitar, electric guitar, Navajo flute, and piano. He also enjoys painting, golfing, lifting weights, and staying involved as an alumnus of MNSU. His diverse interests and leadership experiences contribute to his ability to connect with clients on a personal level, making financial planning an engaging and empowering process.
