According to the Census Bureau, the population of the United States is projected to be 330 million people as of January 1, 2020.
50 years ago, in 1978, the overall U.S. population was 203 million and 100 years ago, in 1920, our population was 106 million people.
What’s interesting is when you look at the natural increases in the U.S. population, which is births that exceed deaths. In 2019, the natural increases in the US population was 957,000 and 10 years ago, in 2009, the natural increase in the U.S. population was 1.7 million.
So, we are seeing an increasing population but yet, a reduction in natural increases in population.
