Background

Jack Zinser is an Advisor at Fortress, specializing in helping pre-retirees and retirees navigate the complexities of retirement planning. Jack focuses on helping clients evaluate tax-efficient retirement income strategies designed to support their long-term retirement goals.

Growing up in a financial household, Jack’s passion for financial services was inspired by his father, a long-time Rochester banker. His journey into financial advising began in 2017 as an intern at a local insurance agency, where he developed an early appreciation for financial planning. Combining his lifelong desire to help others with his expertise in financial strategies, Jack found his true calling in guiding clients through one of life’s biggest transitions—retirement.

Approach

Jack believes that financial planning should be a collaborative and educational experience. He works to simplify complex financial concepts so clients understand the reasoning behind their financial strategies. His greatest reward is helping clients gain a clearer understanding of their financial plan after years of uncertainty.

Beyond the office

Outside of work, Jack enjoys playing men’s league hockey, golfing, and spending time with his one-year-old Golden Doodle, Cooper. A passionate sports fan, he closely follows all four major U.S. sports—despite the challenges of being a die-hard Minnesota sports fan.
