As we come to the end of the year, you may have had a good income year, with the economy strong and unemployment low, but I recently saw on the internal revenue service, what the top ranked income earners adjusted gross income was.
During the tax year of 2017, it took an adjusted gross income of $2,370,000 to rank in the top 1/10 of 1% of taxpayers.
It would take an adjusted gross income of $515,000 to rank in the top 1% of taxpayers.
And it would take an adjusted gross income of $208,000 to rank in the top 5% of taxpayers.
And, it would take $145,000 to rank in the top 10% of all taxpayers.
